UHN Principal Investigators (PIs) and research leaders submit internal applications to the program, nominating a selected candidate. Alongside traditional recruitment methods for early-career scientists and postdoctoral researchers, PIs and research leaders can also access the Canada Leads roster of interested candidates. All applications will be reviewed and evaluated by a dedicated Evaluation Committee.

UHN is building a roster of interested candidates for the program. This roster would be available to UHN’s PIs and research leaders for consideration for any applications. If you would like to add your name to this roster, please click here.

UHN’s Principal Investigators and research leaders may apply internally for program support to recruit postdoctoral researchers or early-career scientists. Each application can request up to $250,000 over two years. For postdoctoral positions, this funding covers salary, benefits, and related project expenses. It can also be used to support the recruitment of early career scientists.

UHN PIs and research leaders may apply to the program with an identified candidate to seek support for a postdoctoral researcher role or to contribute funding to an ongoing recruitment of an early-career scientist.
